Alan Salter is one of the UK's longest established sourcing companies, currently in their 22nd year. They enjoy an enviable reputation not only from their many and varied clients, but also their competitors. Over the years they have forged long term relationships with clients and suppliers alike.

They have offices all over the world including San Francisco, Tel Aviv, Hong Kong, Taiwan and London. Each dedicated to providing the highest levels of commitment and service.

Alan Salter has introduced many promotional products over the years including the revolutionary 'brandcam', a unique item to get your message across with the maximum of impact.

Back in 1996 Alan Salter realised that they needed to modernise their infrastructure. They required a small network of computer equipment to help replace the extensive manual work that was being carried out at the time, managing the communications process between their various offices, suppliers and clients. Alan Salter also knew that if they were to embark on such a high technology solution they would need to work with a single supplier who could be relied upon to provide all their IT needs.

Solution

The Total Package installed a small network of computer equipment with email, file sharing and network fax facilities at their London Headquarters.

All incoming faxes, and at that time several hundred faxes a day were often received, were processed by their computer systems. Using a very early network contact management package, Alan Salter was and still is able to track the various documents that are produced in-house, against each contact in their database.

The San Francisco office also had a small network installed with a similar solution, by us. The other offices, being satellite operations, were connected via stand-alone machines using email.

Personal one to one training was then given to each member of staff in order that they maximise the use of their solution.

Over the years The Total Package has had an integral part in helping Alan Salter get to where they are today, the leader in their field.

Although email has now taken over as the main protocol for intercommunicating between each other, they still receive a large number of faxes by computer each day.

Providing a truly personal and flexible training and support service, worldwide, they feel that they can rely upon us to help them with a problem, or give them advice, when they need it.

The Total Package has travelled to the US, at often extremely short notice and sometimes on official holiday periods, in order to help them with their projects.
